KCP greets on MFL raising day

IMPHAL, August 12: Proscribed outfit Kangleipak Communist Party has sent out its message on the 11th raising day of its armed wing Miyamgi Fingang Lanmi.

In his message, KCP, Military Affairs Committee, chairman Ksh Laba Meitei said August 13 is the raising day of the armed wing of the outfit and at the same time the memorial day for the patriots of the land who were hanged by the British.

He said the day is an auspicious day for both the land and the outfit. He further wished the different communities of WESEA, other armed outfits fighting for freedom, friends and supporters and the MFL on the occasion.

The message said independent countries of the world are today joining together along the lines of ethnicity, geographical locations, economy, social values and according to their own welfare and interest, for example AU in Africa, SAARC in Asia, EU in Europe and UNASUR in Latin America.

But, the unity of the independent countries is not the concern, it said.

It continued, those who are still fighting for independence should be united.

Several outfits of WESEA have recently formed the UNLFW, it said and added that it is in fact a new beginning of the movement.

The statement said the success of the Paraolon attack on a convoy of the 6th Dogra Regiment by a combined team of the NSCN/GPRN, KYKL and the KCP on June 4 in Chandel was because of the united force.

Cadres of the three groups who had carried out the attack have provided renewed vigour and strength to the outfits, it said.

Reports of the ambush echoed throughout the world. Not only local and national media, but others like the Aljazeera, BBC, CNN-IBN, Voice of America, Washington Post, New York Times also discussed the ambush for several days, it said.
