IMPHAL, Aug 1: A 60 year old man was swept by the strong water current the flood at Langmeidong. The man has been identified as Yumnam Ibocha Singh, 60 of Langmeidong Mamang Laipareng Leikai.
It is learnt that after flood water entered his locality this morning he had gone out in a boat to check on his fish farm and drown in the water due to the strong water current.
Meanwhile, according to the Thoubal district DC, the police have taken up a case to investigate on the incident.
