IMPHAL, Aug 13: In a memorandum submitted to the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, which welcomed the `Framework Agreement` signed between the Government of India and the NSCN(IM) leadership on August 3, but expressed concerns that the final agreement should not contain any clauses which will harm the interest of Manipur and other states neighbouring Nagaland.
In a press conference yesterday, the state BJP president, Th.Chaoba had elaborated on the outcome of the party`™s delegation with the Union minister, saying they were assured no interest of the neighbouring states will be compromised.
The memorandum signed by nine leaders of the BJP Manipur, including Th. Chaoba, M. Ashnikumar Singh, general secretary, Md. A.R. Khan, P. Sharatchandra Singh, Th. Biswajit Singh, Kh. Joykishan, L. Sushindro Meitei, Ng. Robert Singh and K. Saratkumar Singh, all executive members.
Meanwhile, RSS joint general secretary) Krishna Gopal is reported to have quietly visited the state on a one day tour today.
