Former LNBA president Rev Betit Silshi passes away

CHANDEL, September 20: Former president of Lamkang Naga Baptist Association (LNBA) and present Pastor of Thamlapokpi Baptist Church, Reverend Betit Silshi passed away at AIIMS, New Delhi last Saturday.

According to the deceased’s family member, Reverend Betit Silshi was admitted at AIIMS after developing a symptom suspected to be a Dengue on September 16. However, he passed away due to deteriorating and failing of his heart condition on Saturday at the hospital.

And he came to the national capital on August 31 to attend his grandson’s birthday for invoking the Almighty’s blessing, added the family member

The mortal remains of the 81 years old Reverend will be flown back home on Monday from the national capital and the funeral service of the departed Church Pastor will be held on September 22 at Thamlapokpi Village in Chandel district.

He was working in the Church and in the Lamkang Naga Baptist Association over 30 years in various capacity for the glory of God and extending His Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the Thamlapokpi Baptist Church deeply condoled the sudden and sad demise of Rev. Betit Silshi, Pastor of Thamlapokpi Baptist Church who passed away after a brief illness at AIIMS.

In a statement issued by Board of Trustee, Thamlapokpi Baptist Church said that the Church members deeply condoled the sudden and untimely demise of Rev. Betit Silshi, Pastor of the church.

While sharing the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family members of the departed Pastor, the Church’s Board of Trustee also appealed all the known and unknown friends of the late Pastor to attend his funeral service scheduled to be held on September 22.
