IMPHAL, October 26: Ahead of the by-election to two assembly constituencies, Thangmeiband and Thongju, the BJP today declared the party`™s tickets have been given to its nominated canditates, Th Bishwajit and Kh Joykisan. This was as per the resolution of a BJP Parliamentary Board Meeting.
A source in the BJP state unit said the Parliamentary Board Meeting for the ticket in the National office was held this evening and the members of the Parliamentary Board officially approved the two candidates to fight against the ruling Congress party candidates.
Meanwhile, the Vice-President, BJP Manipur Pradesh, I Mangiton who is also currently president-in-charge of BJP Manipur state, clarified that Soraisam Memsana Devi of Naoremthong Laishram Leirak and her four family members have been deleted from the list of BJP members.
A release said that this member turned out to be a CPI Manipur State worker, and had become included in the members list of BJP during the party`™s on-line enrolment drive.
He appealed all the concerned BJP workers to be careful while admitting new BJP members in future so that such inconveniences are not faced further, said the released.
