IMPHAL, Nov 8: As part of its continuing campaign under the theme ‘Effects of drugs in society and role of people to face the menace’ launched to root out abusive drugs from the society, Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA) in association with Lamjao Apunba Meira Paibi Lup and KSSL organized a public discussion at Lamjao Mayai Leikai Community Hall, Thoubal district on Nov 7.
Taking strong exception to the government’s decision to give license to prepare local liquor to import to other States, the gathering decided to not allow the government to do so as it would increase consumption of alcohol which in turn will adversely affect the society.
President of CADA, advocate Y Ratankumar and secretary of CAD Dipanjit Ningthoujam were present as resource persons.
