IMPHAL, Nov 19: The Governor of Manipur has ordered that all government offices and educational institutions, private sector undertakings and other establishment located within the area of Bye-election to the 9-Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency and 5-Thongju Assembly Constituency will remain close on November 21 in order to enable the employees to exercise their right of franchise on the day of the bye election.
The government of Manipur has also declared that all banks. Financial institutions located within the said assembly constituencies will also remain close on the day, whereas government employees, bank employees, employees of the private sector undertakings etc, who are electors/ voters of the said bye-elections but serving elsewhere are allowed to avail special casual leave on the said day.
