IMPHAL, Nov 4: The Association of PhD holders enrolled before 2009 UGC regulation has appealed to the concerned authorise of the State government to make a policy to allow them to appear in the ongoing recruitment exams conducted by MPSC for assistant professors.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club this afternoon, the association’s president Dr Ningthem Shijagurumayum said the PhD holders enrolled before 2009 UGC regulation, were allowed to sit in the written exam for the recruitment of Assistant Professor conducted by MPSC with a condition to submit compliance certificate before 2 pm of November 5.
And those candidates who failed to submit the compliance certified before the time period will be rejected and cannot appear in the other rounds of the recruitment exam according to MPSC, he said.
“What we want now is for the State government to save our carriers by making a policy like the way it is done in other states in similar cases like ours,” he said.
“We had approached the concerned ministers and had also submitted memorandum repeatedly however we have not received any response from them,” he maintained.
“If our issues are not addressed by the concerned authorities by 10 am of November 6, we will surrender our degrees to the Chief Minister,” he added.
