UTLA SK Thadou not involved, bodies handed over to family

IMPHAL, Nov 20: The UTLA (SK Thadou) reacting to the incident of gun fight which resulted in the death of two cadres of rival faction in Jiribam, has clarified that the outfit was never involved in the reported gun fight and termed the news report baseless.

A statement issued by the outfit`™s chairman, SK Thadou, stated that it had never involved in any form of violence since it had entered in tripartite Agreement with the State and Central Government, in 2013.

Claiming that the gun fight was between the UTLA (KNO), SK Thadou appealed the media to refrain from publishing unconfirmed news items which could mislead the public.

Meanwhile, the two slain cadre of UTLA have been identified as Gaikhosem Singson, 28, son of Douba Singh of Kaimai village of Tousem sub-division and Poujangun Singson, 37, son of Thongkhoshe Singson of Village of Thanlon Sub-division of Churachandpur district. Their lifeless bodies have been handed over to their family members after post mortem examination at JNIMS.
