IMPHAL, December 19: The Shanskar Bharati Manipur Naba Wareppa will be holding a data collection programme on culture of Manipur at the Iboyaima Shumang Lila Shanglen from December 20-30, announced theatre director Naba Wareppa today.
Speaking at a press conference today at the Iboyaima Shumang Lila Shanglen, he said the programme will be held from 10am to 4pm daily.
The main objective of the programme will be to identify the genuine organisations or registered bodies working on the art and culture of the State, he informed.
The programme is being conducted under the Ministry of Culture and registered bodies can collect registration forms from the Iboyaima SHumang Lila SHanglen and submit it before December 30, he said.
The data collected during the programme will help in the cultural mapping of India under a scheme of the Ministry of Culture which is being implemented by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), he added.
He elaborated registration during the programme will help the NGOs in availing schemes or programme related to Art and culture, and said organisations from both the hills and the valley should register themselves for the programme.
