IMPHAL, December 12: It will be wrong to press the government for development of tourism in the State without support and co-operation from all section of the people , MLA of Thanga constituency T Mangibabu Singh stated today.
Speaking as chief guest at the 21st foundation day celebration of Manipur Tourism Development Society held at Lamyanba Shanglen here today, Mangibabu observed that development of tourism is must to uplift a State as a whole.
He said that with this concept, general public should go hand in hand along with the government and extend cooperation to any work taken up for development of tourism in the State.
MLA T Mangibabu who is also the Chairman of PDA asserted that the State has the potential in tourism sector but it will be unfair to hand the responsibility to develop the sector only to the government.
MLA L Ibomcha Singh and MLA RK Imo Singh were also present at the occasion as president and guest of honour respectively.
