IMPHAL, January 11: BJP Manipur Pradesh is confident of sweeping maximum seats at the Municipal and Nagar Panchayat election polled today, asserted its general secretary Administration M Asnikumar.
He was speaking to a media team covering the polls at Mayang Imphal this morning.
Teams of the BJP’s Mahila Morcha, Yuva Morcha and leaders have been monitoring the poll closely and we confident of winning maximum seats, he added.
We are confident of winning atleast 10 Municipal Councils and five Nagar Panchayats, and considering the public support the numbers could only increase, he claimed.
The party will come out strong in Mayang Imphal, Moirang, Kumbi, Bishnupur, Oinam, Kakching Khunou, Sekmai, Shikhong Sekmai, Heirok, Nambol, Samurou, Thongkhong Laxmi etc, he said.
The people are aware of the reality of the 14 years rule of the Congress in Manipur, he said.
The people are not anymore influenced by the threats and intimation of the Congress, he added.
