IMPHAL, Jan 11: In an unfortunate turn of events, an 18-year-old boy has gone missing after a Maruti 800 car he was travelling in accidentally plunged into a pond situated inside the premises of Chief Minister O Ibobi’s residence at Thoubal Athokpam Leikai under Thoubal Police Station.
The stunning incident took place today past 8 pm. The missing boy has been identified as Huirangbam Sudhir, 18, son of H Sobha of Thoubal Athokpam Awang Leikai
According to reports, four other occupants of the car have been saved from drowning into the pond. The car bearing registration number MN 01K-1690 is registered in the name of one Athokpam Jiten of Thoubal Athokpam Leikai.
Additional police forces were called in to help in searching the boy. The missing boy drowned into the pond could not be traced till the time of filing this report.
