Indian Rock python rescued

IMPHAL, January 13: A six feet long Indian Rock python was rescued from Kwatha village in Chandel District.

According to a press release of People for Animals Thoubal, under the instruction of Inspector Umar Alam OC Moreh PS, VDF personals Kh Biren and T Ranjit of Kwatha posted at Moreh PS handed over the Rock python to PFA Manipur today. They saved the giant reptile from hunters when the duo was at their village. Kwatha Environmental Management and development Organization, KEMADO also took a major role in rescuing the animal, it added.

Chief Wildlife Warden, PN Prasad expressed gratitude to the VDF personals adding that wildlife conservation is not only in the hand of wildlife department but to all.
