IMPHAL, Jan 11: Troops of Jwalamukhi Battalion under Senapati Brigade of Red Shield Division apprehended an active cadre of KNF (N) identified as Thankau Kipgen, 34 son of Seilet Kipgen, of Gangpijang village, Senapati district from Gangpijang during an operation carried out on January 9, informed a PRO Defence statement.
He was arrested along with one 9mm Pistol, one Magazine, ten live rounds of 9mm ball, one Mobile with Airtel SIM card and 4 GB memory card.
He was reportedly involved in many extortion and nefarious activities. The cadre was handed over to Police for further investigations, the release said.
