IMPHAL, February 12: The All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation today observed its 23rd Foundation Day at Kwakeithel Akham Leikai attended by leaders and representatives of different civil society organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, AMUCO president Dr Y Mani Khuman said the organisation will face any issue confronting the State.
He said AMUCO will always encourage communal harmony and co-existence and build on the relationship between the different communities to bring development in the State.
AMUCO is also presently focussed primarily on the burning issue of NSCN (IM) Peace Accord and its effect on the State and said the organisation had earlier demanded a white paper on the accord during a meet with Centre’s interlocutor of the peace talk RN Ravi.
Continuing his speech, he said AMUCO will always work for development of the State’s culture and safeguarding the territorial integrity.
He continued the State is in complete suspense regarding the NSCN (IM) peace Accord.
AMUCO will launch any agitation if the accord affects the State’s territory, he added.
He further appealed for cooperation from every section of the society.
