ANBA’s 2nd triennial bungna concludes at Ralruwng Chandel

CHANDEL, February 1: The 2nd Triennial Bungna Roram (Triennial Fellowship programme) of Anal Naga Baptist Association which commenced on January 28 at Ralruwng village in Chandel district concluded today with a valedictory worship programme held in the morning.

The programme, which was hosted by Sulam Area Baptist churches, was held under the theme of ‘Kahring He Khrista Thin Pa’ (For me to live is Christ) with January 28 as arrival and February 1 as departure.

The programme was attended as the celebration preacher by finance secretary of Manipur Baptist convention Rev Sr Onesima and Pastor of Pudunamei Baptist church rev SK Hokey.

Triennial Bungna is the fellowship of as many as 58 Anal baptist churches affiliated to ANBA that comes off once in every. Prior to the first of its kind held at Chakpikarong in 2013, ANBA had an annual fellowship. The fellowship of that time and till the present triennial get together, sharing of the gospel, seminar or workshop, song completion have become the main highlight of the celebration.

The programme held every three years had witnessed more than 2000 delegates from several churches.

The attendees showcased different talents in the individual as well as in the group song competition of church choir.

Other highlights of the programme were seminar on global warming and Women’s reproductive health care, sharing and hearing of gospel messages delivered by the speakers.

Another interesting highlight of the gathering was rendering of soulful hymns by various church choirs and presentation of special performances by guest singer LL Muona from Churachandpur.

Distinguished guest of the programme included MLA of 41-Chandel A/c St Victor Nunghlung, SDO Chakpikarong KL Hringkham and leaders from various civil societies and political organisations.

A senior church choir song completion was held on January 31.

Panchai church choir and Cheengkhu church choir secured the first and second position while Saluk church choir finished in the third position.

Khambathel Church choir, Modi Church choir secured the first and second position during the junior church choir song competition held on January 30. Nungpan and Darchol church choir shared the third position.

The prizes winners were honoured during the farewell function held in the morning today (Monday) during which executive secretary of ANBA Rev Kl Tangthu gave away the prizes. ANBA vice president Ps Mohonching lowered the Triennial flag to mark the end of the fellowship.
