KANGPOKPI, Feb 27: An independent organization christened “Sadar Hills Gorkha Union” was formed today with its head office at Kalapahar in Sadar Hills.
The union was formed during a meeting held at Kangpokpi by various Gorkha communities residing in Sadar Hills.
After formation of the union, Hari Prasad Nepali and Laxmi Khatiwada has been elected as President and Vice President of the union while Milan Pradhan and Raju Gewali as General Secretary and Asst. Secretary respectively.
The newly elected president, Hari Prasad Nepali said that Sadar Hills Gorkha Union is an independent body established to look after the welfare and development of the Gorkhas particularly in Sadar Hills.
