IMPHAL, February 14: Reacting to allegations made by the ex-Employee Demand Committee of Eikhoy Punna Hingminnaba Thrift & Credit Co-operative Society at Changangei Maning Leikai, the organisation’s Managing Director, Chingtham Dharmendra clarified that their allegation is baseless.
Speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club today the Managing Director Chingtham Dharmendra told media person that no ill-treatment was ever meted out by him to any employee.
He however admitted to withholding salaries by managers on the employees’ failure to collect loans from the beneficiaries. He clarified even this measure was abandoned after learning of the hardships of the employees, and he has informed the concerned department to release all pending salaries.
He said non release of caution-money deposited by each employee is as per the agreement signed between employee and him during their joining of office.
Dharmendra appealed to the employees to return in their work, and also assured that all their salaries will be made available. As for the caution money, he said this will be distributed to whoever has completed one and six month in this society.
