IMPHAL, March 18: A total of 7,49,935 applicants including 5,30,495 male and 2,19,440 female applicants are live-registered in the different employment exchange of Manipur at the end of February 2016 according to monthly progress report on the working of employment service, Manipur issued by the directorate of employment Manipur.
According to press statement issued by directorate of information and public relations, Manipur said that the total number registered in Imphal West district has the highest number of job seekers of 1,95,917 including 1,27,051 male and 68,866 female; Imphal East district has 1,19,632 (84,083 male and35,549 female); Thoubal 1,27,209 (99,115 male and 28,094 female); Bishnupur 71,775 (53,021 male and 18,795 female); Churachandpur 74,785 (54,676 male and 20,109 female); Ukhrul 30,633 (21,271 male and 9,362 female); Senapati 62,227 (44,757 male and 17,470 female); Tamenglong 26,249 (19,769 male and 6,479 female) and Chandel 31,960 (21,747 male and 10,213 female) respectively.
The number of those registered under physical handicapped are 2,792 (1,876 male and 916 female) and under UEI and GP are 6,757 (3,129 male and 3,628 female) respectively.
During the month 2,613 applicants including 1,425 female applicants got themselves registered with employment exchanges in Manipur as against 1,870 applicants of the previous month.
