CM wishes on Good Friday and Easter Sunday

IMPHAL, March 22: The Chief Minister Okhram Ibobi has extended his pleasure and greetings the people of Manipur especially our Christian brethren on the occasion of Good Friday.

In his message, the chief minister said that Good Friday is a holy day which symbolizes the supreme sacrifice made by Lord Jesus Christ for the humankind. The crucifixion of Jesus and resurrection on Easter Sunday are manifestations of the triumph of good over evil. By his supreme sacrifice, Jesus showed his love, compassion and the strength to forgive the wrong-doers.

In the present times, there is no greater lesion to learn that of forgiveness and brotherhood amongst all irrespective of religion, caste or creed.

On this solemn occasion of Good Friday and in the rejoining of Easter Sunday, let us rededicate ourselves to the noble ideas of love, peace and forgiveness for strengthening the bond of brotherhood and unity among all the people in the State.

He wishes that “may the Good Friday and Easter bring peace and happiness to all”.
