House observes two minute silence on demise of PA Sangma

IMPHAL, March 4: Keisamthong MLA Ibomcha today informed the house that he will not withdraw his FIR lodged against the NSF and TR Zeliang, the Chief Minister of Nagaland, unless they tender an apology.

The MLA stated this speaking during the zero hour reacting to news reports banning him to enter into Naga areas by the UNC.

He said that the UNC has no right to ban him to roam in the areas of Manipur adding that he drew the attention of the Deputy Chief Minister, to take legal action with regards to the issue.

In the meantime, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, today condoled the sudden demise of former Lok Sabha speaker during the ongoing session.

He said that the demised of the leader was a great lost of the entire country particularly the Northeastern region.

Sharing the lost and grief with the bereaved family, the Chief Minister prayed for the soul of the late leader to rest in peace.

In honour of the late leader, the Manipur Legislative Assembly also observed two minute silence.
