House passes seven more demands

IMPHAL, March 3: Seven more demands amounting to Rs 930,32,40,000 for the fiscal year 2016-17 was unanimously passed by the House on the 10th day of the ongoing full budget session.

Today’s session also witnessed the passing of two demands for excess grants for the year 2012-13 amounting to Rs 1,49,60,520 and introduction of two bills The Manipur Appropriation (No.2) Bill, 2016 and The Manipur Appropriation (No.3) Bill, 2016. The two demands for fiscal years 2012-13 includes demand number 39 Sericulture amounting to Rs 67,43,990 and Rs 82,16,530 for demand number 40 Irrigation and Flood Control Department.

Of the total seven demands a sum of Rs 470,65,60,000 was for demand number 14 Department of Tribal Affairs, Hills and Scheduled Caste Development, Rs 52,74,44,000 for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Rs 20,40,52,000 for demand number 16 Co-operation, Rs 217,02,15,000 for demand numer 17 Agriculture, Rs 81,73,30,000 for demand number 18 Animal Husbandry and Veterinary including Dairy Farming, Rs 58,50,61,000 for demand number 26 Administration and Justice, Rs 29,25,42,000 for demand Fisheries.
