IMPHAL, Mar 28: Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has alleged that the NSCN-IM is indulging in daylight robbery along the NH-37 under the nose of the Indian Army.

It said that the Nagas were keen and curious of the Framework Agreement and what lies underneath the Agreement signed between the NSCN-IM and government of India.

Asking whether ‘looting’ is a point within the “Framework Agreement” signed, it accused that NSCN-IM had looted goods carrier and passenger vehicles at Longkao

numerous times and have robbed 10 lakh from the beetle leaf vehicles at Khumji recently under the nose of the Indian Army.

The Indian Army has all this knowledge, yet security for the public has diminished in thin air under Framework Agreement, it outfit further alleged adding that house tax were forcibly collected from villages.

It asserted that the NSCN-IM charges rupees 1500 per households in Khoupum area and rupees 5000 each from every households of Taosang and Lungreang village as houses taxes.

The ZUF alleged that the NSCN-IM had slaughtered two cows of Thanagong village besides having beaten innocent villagers on March 10 and 15, 2016, at Kabilung and Nahpou villages.

Not satisfied with the beating they thrashed black and blue to the laborers who are at work from Nepali and Meitei community at Khoupum Thingdouhap, it added.

The founder of Naga Raj Haipou Jadonang has never taught and treated his people this way, it said.

On March 23, 2016, the NSCN-IM had burnt down a beetle leaf vehicle at Shanti Khunou along NH 37. NSCN-IM not having guts to take the responsibility have bluntly blame ZUF for the incident, it clarified.

The ghastly behavior of NSCN-IM has increased after the Framework Agreement was signed, it maintained.

In the name of operating against the ZUF, the NSCN IM and Indian Army have been playing the role of ‘double standard’ disturbing the tranquility of the public, said the ZUF adding that the entire public and Nagas are weary of the unruly behavior of the NSCN IM who has been acting radically un-nationalistic and undemocratic under the theme of “Socialist” and “Nagaland for Christ”.

The Framework Agreement has not taken the Nagas to freedom of mind and given security, but the people who signed this ‘Framework Agreement’ has brought greater burden and fear, it said.

Alleging the Indian Army one of the sponsors of the terrorist act of the NSCN IM, it warned that they (ZUF) will not remain a silent spectator but defend the rights and freedom of the people.
