IMPHAL, Mar 1: The Railway Affected Land Owners’ Welfare Committee (RALOWCO) has appealed to the MLAs and Ministers of the state to take up the issue of farmers whose lands are encroached by DC Imphal for the construction of Tuput to Imphal Railway tracks and station during the Assembly session.
According to a release of the committee, RALOWCO has appealed to the more concerned MLAs, Konthoujam Sharat, Brajabidhu of Lamshang, Debendra of Sekmai and RK Anand of Naoriya to take up the issue at the Assembly.
It also appealed to the MLAs to provide some form of compensation in collaboration with concerned authority to help the affected farmers, it said.
