IMPHAL, March 2: “NSCN (IM) Khulmi Region care taker Ts Prem’s allegation about UKLF indulgence in tribalism is very childish and immature,” said a statement issued by UKLF unit II public relation officer S mangi Aimol today.

It said UKLF must be the only Kuki outfit that has good relation with GPRN for such a long time with the motive of peaceful coexistence as a fellow tribal and fellow Christian with full tolerance sans past ugly history.

Ts Prem was the man directly responsible for the break-up of UKLF army chief SS Haokip and the then president Thangkholun Haokip in 2000 due to his sinister designs and narrow minded apprehensions that UKLF would become a unifying force and could revived sense of nationalism within Kuki community, it said.

But thanks to the maintenance of sanity among UKLF leadership and brotherhood relations, there was no bloodshed within the organisation as such Prems’ diabolic plans failed miserably, it said.

This very plot of Prem led to his suspension from NSCN/GPRN and at the same time GPRN Khulmi Region was dissolved for a long time, it added.

Therefore, this time too, NSCN (IM)/GPRN leadership should re-consider utilizing such person with communal mindset and attitude like TS Prem so as to maintain communal harmony among different communities of Chandel district keeping in mind that he is the man who brings bad name to the organisation (NSCN/GPRN) many time, it added.

“On February 3 evening shooting incident at Molnom village in Chandel district too was the handiwork of TS Prem and in this regard we have enough evidence to prove his guilt including an “eye witness”. If required, we can even furnish details of individuals involved in that incident, the statement added.

Dy Kilonser Ts Prem’s assertion about Aimols as Naga is totally false and misleading, it said.

Aimols are one of the minority Kuki sub-tribes struggling for the protection of their identity and culture, it said.

Taking into account this very fact, we had initiated different developmental programmes and welfare projects in the area with love and affection with an aim to protect and uphold unique identity of the Aimols. The organisation even went to the extend of providing gypsy vehicle for the office use of the Aimol Tribe Union and community hall for the tribe, it said.

Coming to the allegation leveled by the so-called ATUM, it was nothing but a ploy to tarnish our image, the statement said.

Aimol Satu villagers started experiencing problems and turmoil in 2015 when the village youths shot down and killed lai haoraoba devotees at Laikoiching, it added.

The existing road which passes through Satu village was known as old Burma road and relevant government records are still available and who authorized them (Satu villagers) to construct road block in the form of village gate at Satu? , it questioned.

Concerned authorities should look into this matter, it said.

Mob violence everywhere in the world is the same. Anything can happen during mob violence and this need to be understood by already dissolved body like ATUM/non existent entity.

It further said they should instead use their head and ask themselves what led to that kind of mob violence? Who or why innocent Molnon villager late Ts Thongkhogin Haokip was killed? For what reason?.

Late TS Thongkhogin Haokip already revealed the identities of his attackers to his family before he succumbed to injuries, it said.

NSCN (IM) Khulmi Region care taker Prems’ denial about the outfits involvement in Molnom village and Satu Aimol area is nothing but concocted and baseless assertion simply to mislead the government and the people, it added.

Shooting of AK rifles from the residence of Kargil Myrtars’ family which was retaliated by State security forces on mob violence day at Satu was the proof of the presence of NSCN (IM) cadres there on the particular day, it said. Thus Prem can’t easily wash off his hands in this regard.

“Just because of Satu village, issues such as Kuki-Naga should not ne raised and Kukis and Naga brother should not have enmity imply because of this Aimol village called Satu. Therefore, it is our appeal that things should not be communaliased and every right thinking citizens should strive for peaceful co-existence of all the communities,” it said.
