IMPHAL, March 1: The total vacant posts for all departments of the State government including grade A or 1 post as record on November 30, 2015 is just 25,329 whereas there is a total of 747402 educated youth seeking government jobs in the State, minister I Hemochandra told the House today.
The minister was replying to a query raised by MLA K Shyam on the total number of educated youth registered in the Employment Exchanges in the State.
At present the State government has a total strength of 66,528 employees out of 92,653 sanctioned posts, Hemochandra said in his reply.
He said his replies were based according to Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (Personnel Division), government of Manipur furnished information collected from the different departments of the State government.
Meanwhile, Transport minister Kh Ratan said although the State government is trying to expand the Imphal to Gwaltabi road, a fix deadline cannot be set at the moment.
The minister was replying to a query raised by MLA Joykishan.
