BISHNUPUR, Apr 6: A two days consultative meeting on Loktak Basin Ecosystem being organized by People’s Resource Development Association (PRDA) in association with Actionaid India commenced today at Hotel Lake View, Moirang Lamkhai.
Secretary of PRDA L Suranjoy inaugurated the meeting wherein environmentalists Dr H Nandiram Sharma, RK Birjit, Salam Rajesh, Rajen Oinam, Jagat Okram and several NGO workers delivered lecture on relevant subjects.
Degradation of Loktak Lake and needs for saving ecosystem of the lake were discussed in the first day of the consultative meeting.
