IMPHAL, April 4: As announced earlier, the All Manipur Police Constable Male 2013 Batch has imposed an indefinite economic blockade along the national highways since this morning in protest against the State government’s failure to declare the final result of the recruitment process till date.
In Chandel district, a large number of blockade supporters enforced the agitation along the Imphal-Moreh highway section in between Thamlapokpi and Boungjang Village.
Vehicles coming from both Imphal and Moreh were stopped and checked by the agitators. Goods-laden vehicles were also prohibited from proceeding further. It may be mentioned that All Manipur Police Constable Male 2013 Batch had called a 24-hr State-wide bandh last Friday.
