BISHNUPUR, April 24: The heavy downpour of rainfall since the last few days has inundated many villages along the southern part of Tiddim Road in Bishnupur district.
Altogether ten residential houses at Senapati Sabal under Nambol constituency have been submerged in the water, causing panic to the family members.
The submerged houses belong to Sairem Kanto, 42 son of S Chandramani; Sekhor, 35; Hemachandra, 29; Tongbram Shamungou, 55 son of Late T Mani; Naba, 70; S Ibocha, 65 son of Late S Gopal; N Biramani, 70 son of Late N Chaoba; P Bidhu, 45 son of Late P Sengoi; Bijoy, 40 and Kh Sobha, 60.
A fish farm measuring 2 hectors own by one N Biramangol, 50 son of N Samu has also been totally submerged in the water.
Many houses at Keinou have also been flooded as canals at the area caved in due to the incessant rainfall.
