IMPHAL, May 19: The BJP will expose the prolonged practice of corruption and scandals of the Congress MLAs and ministers before the Imphal Municipal Corporation election said Kh Joykisan MLA Thangmeiband today.
Speaking to media persons at his residence, the BJP MLA said his party will defeat the Congress in the June 2 IMC election and the State Legislative Assembly Election next year.
As part of its election campaign, the BJP will lay bare the corrupt practices and scandals of the Congress, he said.
He claimed that the Congress has corrupted all public properties and funds by buying votes during elections.
He said the excessive use of money and muscle power during elections and communal politics by the Congress has brought its own downfall in the country today.
He further appealed to the people of all the eight Assembly segments covered under the IMC to be aware of the wrongdoings of the Congress and to extend support to the BJP.
Joykisan said the landslide historic victory of the BJP in Assam Assembly election is a happy moment and it will certainly reflect in the IMC and Manipur Assembly elections.
He said the party has gain more support even in the non-BJP States opening base in Kerela, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Orissa.
