IMPHAL, May 4: The Joint Students’ Co-ordination Committee (JSCC), Manipur has expressed its concern over the volatile situation prevailing in the Manipur University (MU), campus since the last many days.
In statement, JSCC media co-ordinator Manjit Sarangthem, demanded the authority concerned to immediately intervene into the matter and solve the problems so as the students can resume their normal classes.
He pointed out that some student organizations have been protesting against MU authority over the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff and admission reservation policies since the last many days.
If the MU authorities fail to take up immediate measures to check the prevailing situation, the JSCC would be compelled to launch strong agitations.
In the event of any unwanted incident occurred during the protest, the authority will be held responsible, he warned.
