IMPHAL, May 25: A group of candidates who had appeared at the MPSC combined examination (preliminary), 2016 have issued a public appeal against making any alteration to the recruitment process and demanded that the mains examination scheduled on July 3, 2016 be allowed to proceed as it is as there was no major anomaly in the question papers.

Speaking on behalf of that group at a press meet at Manipur Press Club today, one of the candidates Hawaibam Pradipkumar said it is very unfortunate that some groups are trying to provoke the government and concerned authorities to hold fresh preliminary exams. Although, he admitted that some instructions were misleading and created confusion on negative markings, he explained that the fact that there will be no negative marking was informed before the examination.

Further, MPSC officials had made identical announcement in the examination centres and to eliminate any confusion, the same was wrote on the blackboard in the examination rooms.

If in case, the officials had failed to announce the information at any particular exam centre or room, the re-examination should only be conducted for the candidates at those centres only, he said adding that the MPSC exam had already been re-scheduled and holding fresh exam (preliminary) will only hurt the competitive spirit of the aspirants.

The candidates have further urged the authority to announce its position at the earliest and save further suspense on the matter.
