IMPHAL, June 2: The office of the Naga Students Fedration is compelled to clarify on the allegation that the NSF in the North East Students Organisation meeting held on May 17 at Guwahati in support of the three bills passed by the government of Manipur.
The allegation is baseless as the NESO meeting never discussed on the three bills and the fedration in no way supports the bills which are anti-tribal. Certain oraganisation or individuals trying to distort the facts and twist the story accroding to their vested agenda will not be tolerated.
As per the NESO meeting the memorendum to Prime Minister of India is to be submitted through the respective State governors, this was stated in a press released signed by general secretary of NSF, Boveio Poukai Duo.
The memorendum is a reminder submitted to the UPA government in 2013 when Dr Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister. The concern of the NSF is on the continuous influx of illegal immigrants from Indian neighbouring countries, it said.
It further said that the federation has been fighting and shall continue to fight against any kind of Acts or bills passed against the interest of Nagas.
Therefore alleging and draging the name of NSF by some elements in the infamous three anti tribal people bill is unfortunate, it said.
