Three days Training Cum Demonstration on Oyster Mushroom Production under Mera
Gaon Mera Gaurav (My Village My Pride) and Input distribution programme from 16 th to 18th June 2016 was successfully concluded at Thomkholui village, Churachandpur organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Churachandpur, in collaboration with ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region.

During the training programme Dr. Nirangan Lal, Programme coordinator, highlighted the scope and importance of mushroom in context with Churachandpur district. Dr. R K Roshan, SMS Horticulture, discuss in detail technique for oyster mushroom production. Mr. L. Somendro Singh, ACTO (Soil Science), discuss the detail technique for utilizing the Spent Mushroom Substrate for making compost etc. Inputs for mushroom were distributed to Debora Self Help Group.

The programme was followed by demonstration of oyster mushroom production, wherein
Dr. R K Roshan, SMS Horticulture, Miss. Manngahkim, Programme Assistant and Mr. L Basil,
Farm Manager, demonstrated the trainees on Substrate selection, Substrate preparation, Substrate Sterilization, Spawn selection, Spawning etc. organized to conclude the programme.
