KB Enterprises receives National Tourism Award for Most Innovative Tour Operator

KB-interprises-copy-732x400Imphal, Jul 30 : Manipur’s KB Enterprises, an approved inbound tour ope-rator based in Imphal, received the prestigious National Tourism Award 2015 for the “Most Innovative Tour Operator”.
The award was presented today by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan and Dr Mahesh Sharma, Minister of Tourism and Culture to the Proprietors of the firm Pangabam Kunjabihari and his wife Laishram Devita in a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
Secretary of Tourism, Government of Manipur Nidhi Mani Tripathi also participated in the Award presen- tation ceremony.
KB Enterprises is the only firm from North East India to receive the National Tourism Award till date. Established in the year 2007, KB Enterprises is one of the leading tour operators of the State.
KB Enterprises has successfully managed the first International Charter Flight in 2013 by bringing a chartered flight of the Golden Myanmar Airlines to the Imphal International Airport with 166 foreign tourists onboard. The firm has also brought foreign tourists from Myanmar to North East India through land route.
Its proprietor, Kunjabihari has participated in many International and National Tour and Travel Fairs representing the State and the Nation on many occasions. His firm KB Enterprises is the first tour operator from Manipur to participate in ITB Berlin, Germany, the biggest interna- tional tourism festival in the world.
He was one of the members of Manipur Tourism Team that received Most Promising New Destination Award 2015 in TTF, the biggest travel show of India. He has also participated in the 2nd North East India-Myanmar Business Conclave in Monywa, Myanmar in 2016.
KB Singh is a member of Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), Executive Member of Manipur Tourism Forum (MTF), President of Manipur Association of Tour Operators (MATO) and Member of Lions Club International.
