IMPHAL, Aug 2 : Rather than going to Government offices which entails wastage of time and money, citizens would soon be able to obtain common documents like Income, Residential, ST and SC certificates online.
According to Information Technology Commissioner PK Singh, computer softwares have been developed through which Government documents can be obtained online.
Online testing, training of officials and form standardisation have been completed.
The new initiative can be launched once certain works pending with banks are completed.
To launch the new initiative, district administrations have been given user IDs as well as passwords.
However, some top ranking district officials contended that the new initiative could not be launched till now as they have not been given user IDs and passwords.
