Miss Manipur Queen 2017 organised by Robert Naorem Studio and Academy at Imperial Hall Classic Grande on March 16, 2017.
Altogether 15 contestants took part in the parade and top 3 were selected where one will be selected among the 3 to represent Manipur in the upcoming Femina Miss India 2017 contest which will be held at Mumbai.
Th Strela, Kalpana Yumnam and Soibam Chanu were the selected top 3 contestants.
Other 3 contestants, namely Anmol Dhawan, Th. Strela and Danube Kangjam among the 15 were also crowned as the State Icon.
The event also had Miss India 2016 Priyadarshini Chaterji; Kh. Sobita, Chairperson Manipur State Commission for Women; Tonthoi Leishangthem, National award winning actress; Dhanabir Laishram, Social scientist; Vivek Kumar Dewangan, Chief Electoral Officer and Khelen Thokchom, Telegraph correspondent as the panel judges.
Training and grooming of the contestants were done by one of the renowned choreographer and groomer of India who has groomed known faces like Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza and many known supermodels of the country, Achla Sachdev.
