Imphal, Apr 15: State Health Minister L Jayantakumar Singh has appealed to all who are in medical profession to maintain professional ethics.
Attending a “Capping and Lamp Lighting ceremony of the School of ANM/FHW, Imphal which was held today at the multipurpose hall of College of Nursing, Lamphelpat as chief guest, he expressed his deep concern about the need and service of nursing staff in the course of people’s life and society. He also expressed his mixed feelings about what they say before joining service and their performance after joining service. He urged students to work hard and be sincere in their profession and also be a good person in life. “From today the capped nurses have started a journey with a responsibility on their shoulder”, he added.
The Minister also wished the students the very best for their future.
Attending the function as president, PK Singh, Commissioner, Health & Family Welfare, said the state Government is ready to take up necessary steps to meet the requirements in the heath sector of the State.
Dr K Lokendro Singh, Director, AYUS/ Director in-charge, Health Services Manipur/NHM, Vungzanem Valte, Joint Director of Nursing(Rtd), Directorate of Health Services and P Landhoni Devi, Nursing Superintendent JNIMS, attended the function as guests of honour.
Health Services staff, Medical Directorate officials, guardians of the students and others also attended the ceremony.
