Imphal, October 08 2017: A person who made a call to SP (CID-CB) identifying himself as Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly has been arrested by a team of Cyber Crime PS .
According to a statement issued by the PRO of Police Dept, on September 22 around 12 pm, a person made a call to SP (CID-CB) identifying himself as Speaker, Manipur Legislative Assembly .
On further investigation, a team of Cyber Crime PS arrested the culprit namely Khwairakpam Robin Singh (35) s/o Kh Sanajaoba Singh of Awang Sekmai Makha Leikai, Imphal West district, it said .
Incriminating articles were seized from his possession, it said while adding that a case has been registered at Cyber Crime PS and investigation is going on .
Robin Singh is reportedly the State general secretary of the SC Morcha of BJP, Manipur Pradesh.
