BJP always does something reckless in Manipur: Ibobi

THOUBAL | Dec 18 : At the sit in protest organised by Wangjing Tentha block Congress committee near Wangjing Kodompokpi Stadium, demanding disclosure of the terms included in the framework agreement, the former chief minister who is presently the leader of opposition, O. Ibobi Singh said whenever BJP is ruling at the Centre, they always do something reckless when it comes to Manipur.

In the ongoing sit in protest being organised under the supervision of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, Ibobi further said the frame work agreement which is not made public for more than two years is very suspicious.

The BJP government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had signed the framework agreement in one night with the general secretary of NSCN – (IM), Th. Muivah, where the only other people present during the procedure was Interlocutor, R.N. Ravi. No other person were informed about the occasion, let alone the ministers in the cabinet, not even the home minister, Rajnath Singh was informed about the agreement signed, he added. These are the reason why congress is extremely suspicious of the agreement and making demands that the details of the agreement be made public.

He further said when BJP was in power at the centre in 2001, former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee included ‘Without Territorial Limit’ which was beyond the ground rule of the cease fire agreement between India and NSCN-(IM) and eventually caused June 18.

Former deputy chief minister, Gaikhangam said the BJP leaders at the centre are impulsive. Its demonetisation had made cores of Indian citizens suffer. Not only that, it has now introduced GST which is literally strangling the throats of the poor.

The public meeting was attended by the leaders of the Congress and leaders of each blocks.
