No dustbin no shop license: Shyamkumar

IMPHAL | Dec 26 : Municipal administration, housing and urban development ( MAHUD) minister Thounaojam Shyamkumar today announced that licence will not be issued to the shops without dustbins, starting next year.

Shyamkumar made the announcement at the products launching and awards distribution function of SP Group Private Limited at Classic Grande, Imperial Hall.

The minister said from next year, all the shops in all the municipal areas need to procure licence and for this all the shops are compulsory to use dustbins. To procure licence for big shopping complex it will mandatory to have basement parking facility, he added.

The mission of keeping our environment clean is one of top priorities of our present government. It has to be performed by department of MAHUD. The products launched today are the essential component in fulfilling the task of the mission, said Shyamkumar.

He assured the SP Group that his department will buy the products from them. The state need not worry about importing huge number of dustbins, he added.

Encouraging the SP Group Shyamkumar Singh said “Success always triumph if one could do something with persistent hard work, dedication and sincerity that is proved by young and dynamic entrepreneur of SP Group”.

SP Group today launched Loktak Septic Tank, Loktak Super Tank (temperature control advance techno water storage tank) and Loktak Dustbin made of plastic. To motivate the employees, two outstanding employees of the company were gifted with cars. As part of the function, a calendar was also launched at the event.

Thokchom Radheshyam Singh, minister of education and labour congratulated the awardees. “Their endless effort contributed a lot in reaching SP Group at this level. So it is very important to honour them”, said the minister.

He said we will keep on succeeding in life if we keep up our trademark which is a composition of hard work, honesty and struggle. “It is our prime duty to groom our young mind, encourage them in venturing various field” added Radheshyam.

Egg in Manipur is mainly imported from Hyderabad, pork from Mizoram and Nagaland and fish from Hyderabad, Assam and Kolkata. Our young people can do business by indulging in production of these items in our own state, added Radheshyam.

Chairman and managing director of SP Group S. Preshyojit Sharma said the company was initiated in the year 2008 with construction related materials. In due course of time the company is expanding in various fields. Highly skilled manpower is the most important component in boosting the industry or company, he shared.

Other dignitaries attended in the function were PK Singh principal secretary of labour and employment, Soso Lorho ex-minister, S. Brajagopal Sharma ex-minister, S. Debabarta Sharma retired director of sericulture, Dr. Ch. Manglem Singh professor Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) hospital, Mangi Singh retired director planning and S. Preetam, proprietor, Eastern Motors.
