Health minister inaugurates new CHC quarter for doctors

IMPHAL | Dec 8: Minister of Health and Family Welfare, L. Jayantakumar Singh today inaugurated the newly constructed doctors’ quarter of Community Health Centre (CHC), Saikul in Senapati district.

Speaking at the occasion as chief guest, minister Jayantakumar said that in order to meet the required doctors in various health centres in the state, the process to recruit 300 doctors and 11 dental surgeons are underway. He further maintained that the new quarter will be upgraded according to time and situation. He appealed the people of the place to co-operate with the government while taking up necessary actions to expand the existing CHC.

The Function was attended by MLA of Saikul assembly constituency, Puyamthong Haokip as guest of honour while director of Health Services Manipur, Dr. K. Rajo Singh was the functional president. Deputy Commissioner Kangpokpi, T. Ranjit Singh, also attended the function as special invitees.

The new quarter was constructed under MSDP-12 Plan and the inaugural function was jointly organised by CSO Saikul and CHC Saikul.
