IMPHAL, August 2:The government has decided to relax the qualifications for the Teachers Eligibility Test by providing five percent marks relaxation for the OBC, ST, SC and physically challenged categories.
According to a press note from the department of education (s), as per the provisions of the Right to education Act, 2009, every teacher who is to be recruited as primary and upper primary teachers has to pass teacher eligibility test and should be trained, however as there is shortage of trained candidates in the state, the government of India has granted one time relaxation to the training qualification.
