IMPHAL, June 18: Lumpingning Kabui alias Boy alias John , 22, son of Raren Kabui who was reportedly arrested by a combined team of Imphal East police district commandos led by ASP M Rajen and 30 AR on June 16 at Khurai Popular School during an operation, is not related with RPF/PLA, the proscribed outfit clarified today.
In a statement RPF said, Lumpingning Kabui was a former PLA lance corporal but he left the office of the Secretary Minority Affairs without taking prior permission from the concerned authority since January 31 last. His army no was 2996.
Subsequently, Lumpingning carried out various activities by violating the rules and regulations of the outfit hence the RPF/PLA announced him as a deserter on February 18 last. So, he has had no connection with the outfit after February 18, it clarified.
