IMPHAL, November 9: Imphal West district Football Association was adjudged the fair play winner of the U-12, while Imphal East district Football Association has been adjudged the fair play winner of the U-13 of the 8th A Borchand Singh Memorial U-12/U-13 boys Inter District Fotball Festival, 2012.
The football festival was kicked off at the Khuman Lampak Practice ground yesterday.
Even though the Imphal East boys defeated their I/W counterpart by 1+5-1+4 in the last match of the U-12 category, Imphal West with 20 points was adjudged the fair play winner. The Imphal East boys’ failure to maintain fair play cost them the winners’ cup.
AJSA, Jiribam and DSA, Kakching with 15 points each were adjudged the Joint fair play runners up.
In the U-13 category, IEDFA deeated DSA, Kakching by 1-0 in the last match.
