IMPHAL, February 6: Students of the Universal College called a press conference today at the Manipur Press Club clarifying on the allegations by a 3rd semester student of the college that he was physically assaulted by hostellers of the college on the instigation of a college lecturer which was published by several local dailies on February 3.
The students echoed that the allegation of physical assault is baseless and unfounded.
They however acknowledged that a commotion occurred due to an argument between the students including Md Sis Khan who had made the allegation against the lecturer and the hostellers.
