Khaidem Mani is AMBA president

IMPHAL, May 26: Advocate Khaidem Mani has been elected as the president of the All Manipur Bar Association for the term 2013-2015 at the election meeting of the association held today at its office at Uripok Cheirap Court Complex.

Speaking to IFP after the declaration of the election result, Advocate Khaidem Mani said that the All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) is an apex body of the advocates in Manipur.

He further said that he will urge the concerned authorities to fill up the judges’ post which are lying vacant in many courts of the state at the earliest. He will ensure to maintain good relationship between the High Court of Manipur and the subordinate courts in the state, he said and also promises to take up steps to iron out other problems and inconveniences faced by the courts in the state.

It may be mention here that Advocate Khaidem Mani was elected as joint secretary of the association and hold the post for three times during the terms 1984-85, 1986-87 and 1988-89.

During the term 1992-93 he was elected as general secretary of the association and during the term 1997-99 he was elected as the vice president.

And during the term 2005-2007, he was elected as the president of the association and this is the second time of him as the president of the association.
