IMPHAL, March 24: As part of the Satyagraha movement of the Indian Youth Congress, the Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress took out a rally from Congress Bhavan till Khwairamband Bazar, Shamu Makhong.
The Manipur Pradesh workers also burnt the effigy of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Shamu Makhong.
The rally was carried out protesting against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government for its Land Accusation Bill, 2015 passed by the NDA government and against the attitude of BJP towards the vice president, All India Congress Committee Rahul Gandhi.
During the rally different placard were also displayed which read as `revoke the Land Accusation Bill, 2015`™, `Stop mistreating Rahul Gandhi and give a bad name to the AICC, vice president, `NDA government is against the farmer`™
The members also shouted slogans that the bill was passed against the farmer.
The protest was also condemning the word `migrant`™ recently used by Modi government which is against NorthEast trying to mislead the people and that is exactly the hidden agenda of the BJP government.
