IMPHAL, Nov 22: Re-poll at 5/25 polling station at Singjamei Kshetri Leikai Primary School under Thogju Assembly Constituency has been scheduled on November 23.
The re-poll in the polling station is to be conducted following technical error developed in the EVM machine during casting of vote in the by-election held on November 21.
It was assumed that the error might have occurred due to voters repeatedly pressing the button of the machine intentionally or unintentionally while casting vote.
INC candidate Bijoy Koijam; BJP candidate Thongam Bishwajit; MDPF candidate G Tonsana Sharma contested in the by-election from the constituency.
The 5/25 polling station has 513 eligible voters.
